This ACLS Renewal course is for those who are currently certified and need to renew their certificate before it expires (two-year certification that typically expires at the end of the month that you are certified in).  If you are not renewing and need initial certification, or your certification has expired, please see the ACLS Recognition course.  Please note that you must have a current BLS provider certification to enroll in this course.  If you do not have a current BLS certification, please contact CHES for options at 608-227-2292.

Our ACLS Renewal course follows the latest American Heart Association guidelines for identifying and treating a cardiac event. The course emphasizes the importance of Basic Life Support CPR to patient survival, the integration of advanced cardiovascular life support interventions, and effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation.  It intended for all healthcare providers, intensive or critical care professionals, and others who may need to respond to a cardiovascular emergency. The objectives of the course are to update and demonstrate your skills in the treatment of an adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies through classroom instruction, hands-on learning, and an examination.

NOTE:  Students will need to have a Provider Manual for the successful completion of this course.  Both e-book and hard copy versions are available for purchase through the American Heart Association at https://shopcpr.heart.org  Should you choose to purchase your manual from another vendor, please be sure that it is the current edition:
