Need more flexibility?

You may take the bulk of your blended BLS course on-line through the American Heart Association and then complete a hands on skills session at the Center for Healthcare Education and Simulation (CHES).

To do this for Basic Life Support (BLS) which is required for most healthcare providers (nurses, doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, nursing students, etc):

  • Go to the web-site: https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls to take the online portion of "HeartCode BLS". This online course takes approximately 2 hours and the cost is $34 (paid directly to the AHA).
  • Sign up for your skills session (use the "add to cart" feature below" and checkout)
  • Bring your certificate of completion of the online portion of the course to your skills session.
  • Your skills session will take up to 90 minutes and is completed at CHES.
  • If you also need First Aid, please visit that section on our website as it is not included in this course.
