You may take the bulk of your First Aid course on-line through the American Heart Association and then complete an in-person skills session at the Center for Healthcare Education and Simulation (CHES).
To do this for Heartsaver First Aid:
- Complete the online portion on the following website: https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartsaver-first-aid-online The cost of the online part is $18.50
- Print your certificate of completion of the online portion of the course.
- Register for a skills Competency Check by calling CHES, 227-2292 ext 1, or email CHES@edgewood.edu and state "I completed Heartsaver First Aid online and need to schedule my skills check-off". The cost of the check-off is $40 and you will need to bring your certificate of completion of the online portion of the course to CHES, or email it ahead of time.
- Your skills check-off will take up to 30 minutes.
